Hornby Driver Training operate from Belton in the Isle of Axholme.  We offer driving lessons to beginner / first time drivers and experienced drivers in South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and Humberside, which includes Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Sheffield and Gainsborough.   We also cover the entire of the Isle of Axholme, which includes the villages of Epworth, Belton, Beltoft, Crowle, Haxey, Westwoodside and Owston Ferry to name a few. 

 

We are not just your normal driving instructors focused on getting people through their test in the quickest amount of time.  Instead, the emphasis is on the pupil, and using many years experience of instructing, training and coaching we want to improve driving standards and make the local area a safer place to live and drive.    John Hornby is only 1 of 2 advanced drivers in the local area (DN9 postcode) who are members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), meaning that his standard of driving is proven to be above that of people without IAM status.   As driving instructors, we have a duty to ensure that we are not adversely affecting the environment, so being green and eco-friendly is a key influencer in everything we do.

We are driver training specialists offering a range of training solutions for drivers of all experience levels, ranging from First Time Drivers wanting to learn theory, begin driving or undertake PASS PLUS, to Experienced Drivers who are looking to hone their skills through courses such as advanced driving, motorway driving or eco-safe driving.   

We use a brand new 5 door Volkswagon Polo Bluemotion 2 1.4 DPF fitted with dual controls.  We understand our impact on the environment, so carefully chose this model as it is one of the greenest, economical and eco-friendly cars around.  In addition, it is safe, easy to drive, manoeuvrable, confortable and looks pretty nice too!  All of these factors combine to produce a great driving school car, whether you are stepping into the drivers seat for the first time or are an experienced driver looking to improve.

We offer a number of unique Hornby Driver Training Packages and Modules to meet all your development needs.  These consist of in car tuition, theory workshops and self development activities to enable you to learn new techniques and skills to improve your safety on the road.

Our speciality is in helping drivers who lack confidence in their driving ability.  We use innovative techniques such as questionnaires, self help books, CD's and 1-2-1 coaching and counselling to help people overcome their driving fears and develop into safe and skilled road users.
